On the very edge of Gornje Selo, where the road ends and the silence begins, lies Holiday Home Rakova – a house that offers not only accommodation, but a sense of belonging, peace and true relaxation. Surrounded by the untouched nature of the island of Šolta, far from the noise, crowds and hustle and bustle, it becomes your personal refuge from the world.
Built with traditional Šolta stone, hand-carved with love and care, this house tells the story of times gone by, but lives in perfect harmony with today’s comfort. Every stone, every detail carries the spirit of the Mediterranean, the simplicity of life and the warmth of home.
In a quiet neighborhood at the end of Gornje Selo, the view opens up to nature, the sea and the sky, which every evening becomes a canvas for the most beautiful sunsets. Here, the days pass more slowly. Mornings begin with silence and the scents of nature, and evenings bring serenity, stars and a sense of complete peace.
Minimum stay is 3 nights.
ROOMS:
Two comfortable rooms with double beds, each with its own bathroom, provide privacy and complete comfort. Arranged for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, they are ideal for quality rest and a pleasant sleep.
POOL:
The heated and covered pool provides perfect conditions for enjoyment all year round. In summer, it protects from strong sunlight and provides pleasant shade, while heating on colder days allows swimming and relaxation regardless of the temperature. An ideal place for rest, recreation and carefree enjoyment in every season.

An unforgettable stay filled with warmth, beauty, and true Dalmatian hospitality
Our stay at Holiday Home Rakova in Gornje Selo, Šolta was absolutely perfect and one of the best holiday experiences we have ever had. We spent the International Workers’ Day holiday there and enjoyed a wonderful barbecue weekend with friends, and everything was simply flawless. The outdoor fireplace and barbecue area are first-class – truly perfect for a proper Mediterranean grill gathering. Our hosts thoughtfully prepared firewood for us, along with beautiful local Šolta olive oil, which made everything feel even more special and authentic. From the very moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. A lovely welcome drink, local wine, and warm hospitality were waiting for us, setting the tone for a truly special stay. And when we were leaving, Ina and her family surprised us with the most beautiful farewell gifts – traditional sugar-coated almonds, homemade carob liqueur, their own local olive oil, and a wonderful souvenir that we will keep with great affection. These are the kinds of gestures that stay with you long after the holiday ends. The house itself is exceptional – spotlessly clean, impeccably maintained, and designed with such care that it genuinely feels like a family home created with love, not just a rental property for guests. Every single detail reflects taste, quality, and attention. During our stay, there was not one single thing we needed that wasn’t already there. The kitchen is fully equipped with absolutely everything: quality cookware, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, refrigerator, washing machine – truly everything one could need. The private heated outdoor pool was fantastic, beautifully maintained, and perfect both during the day and in the evening. The outdoor dining area, terrace, sun loungers, patio, stone barbecue, garden, private parking, and complete privacy made the entire experience even more comfortable.
